Unfortunately many of us never listen to signal. We remember our childhood Joint Renew Review and how we learned that pain was to be avoided. Because we still maintain that mindset, we do anything rid ourselves of the uncomfortable feeling of pain. We have surgery. We have treatments. We take drugs. It doesn't matter. All we care about is getting rid of the pain. How we do it we feel, is irrelevant.
But we don't have pain just so that we can get rid of it. Pain should be embraced. Your body is far more intelligent than you are. Pain is its way of telling you that something is wrong. If you continue to ignore and avoid it then your body is going to rebel against you. And that's when you get into serious trouble.
Unfortunately, what your brain is trying to tell you with pain is not always clear. You must find that out for yourself. It may be stress. It may be certain foods you are eating. If may be that some system in your body is not functioning properly. It may be that you hate your job. It really could be anything, but the underlying message is the same - "Something's Wrong".
Medicating pain with drugs or some type of treatment is not the answer. That's the same as throwing every mess in your bedroom under your bed. Sure your bedroom may look organized but in reality, everything is still a mess. It's just hidden away from you underneath your bed. This is what happens when you avoid pain. Just because you cover it up doesn't mean that you solve the problem.
