3 Exercises for a Stronger Core

As important to dance is the warm-up, the cool down is essential as well.  Forward Head Posture Fix Review To cool down after dancing, gradually reduce the intensity of your activity for ten minutes. During this time, it's important to re-mobilize joints to help flush out waste products and to perform major muscle group stretches, holding for fifteen seconds.

The practice of cooling down decreases your body's temperature and removes waste products from the working muscles to aid in your recovery. Cool downs prevents such symptoms as light-headedness and dizziness which can be caused by the pooling of blood in your extremities. Cool downs also prevent muscle soreness and promotes relaxation.

When you raise up onto your toes and look down at the back of your lower leg, you can usually see your Gastrocnemius. That is the beautiful muscle in the toned lower legs of a fit woman in high heels. The basic function of the gastrocnemius is to help you raise up on to your tip-toes. If you think about it, any sport that requires running or jumping highly utilizes the gastroc. Think about sprinting, high jumping, long jumping, basketball, volleyball, base running, ballet, martial arts, and many more. Even pushing off the wall in a swim start uses this muscles. The Gastrocnemius is one of the main muscles that propels you forward when you are walking or running.

At the base of your femur, or thigh bone, right at the knee joint are landmarks on the femur called condoyles. These areas at the base of the femur, on the inside and outside, are where the gastrocnemius originates. It runs down the back of the lower leg and inserts into the calcaneous, or heel bone by way of the Achilles tendon. Explosive jumping, or landing improperly can cause the junction between the gastrocnemius and Achilles tendon to rupture. Wearing heels all of the time, causes a chronic shortening of this calf muscles.

Lemon juice helps the body absorb calcium So if you want to lose excess pounds and feel great at the same time, this juice is the answer you're looking for. The quality and effectiveness of dietary supplements can vary tremendously from one brand to the next, and believe me, bee pollen is no different. When scrutinized in a laboratory, many herbal supplements for example, have been found to contain traces of animal excrement. The only logical explanation for this would be that the herbs being used have been harvested in fields where livestock have been grazing.

Fortunately, bees are quite fussy with regards to their diet, and as a result, pollen collected from their hives certainly won't have any traces of animal excrement. On the other hand, it would be foolish to automatically assume all bee pollen is pure, and 100% free of contaminants. Now, if you are determined to find the best bee pollen supplement, then obviously you don't want pollen that has been contaminated.

Disturbing Trends

These are some of the benefits that come with adding salt to your diet.  TestMax Nutrition Review Although there are a few foods shown to incorporate cooking with this salt. They are by far not the only ones that can be made. Salt is extremely versatile and can go on anything you want to eat. Some of the more popular recipes include cooking with salmon, tuna, sourdough, eggs and a whole host of other recipes that will and an extra kick to your taste buds and a side plate of health. "Pro bios" - "for life", this is the Latin meaning of probiotics, the good bacteria from our intestines.

Our bodies, as newborns, are sterile, but with the first meals that we get, our digestive system becomes populated with microorganisms. Some of them are useful and play a vital role in our well-being, while others thrive by feeding on our body's resources, weakening our immunity and disturbing our homeostasis. Many of the illnesses that we encounter, even in modern times, are linked to parasites and bad bacteria or fungus. Our hygiene has improved and our medical system is more efficient than it was hundreds of years ago, but we are far from free of germs. We covered most of the fatal germ related diseases, but the most cunning ones still make victims, developing undetected in our bodies until it is too late.

Our best weapon in fighting them, antibiotics, can be a two edged blade that also destroys the balance we have with our good and faithful helpers: the probiotics. Being bacteria as well, they are susceptible to antibiotic treatment and die along with the unwanted guests. The problem is that we never stop from ingesting bacteria from our environment and not all species are friendly; in fact, most wild ones aren't. The consequence of all this is that our decimated good bacteria get overrun by their wild relatives and the quality of our bowels' flora decreases dramatically.

Why aren't these wild bacteria strains just as good as the ones originally found in the intestines? The answer is: they were not designed by thousands of years of evolution and selection to help our digestion through their own life cycle. The result is that the new bacteria do not know how to live in symbiosis with us and they just do what every living organism does best: it feeds with what nutrients it finds and eliminates its metabolic waste. The problem is that their wastes are useless for our body and most just plain toxic.

Masturbation As Stress Management: Feeling Relaxed by Feeling Oneself

Most men are very careful about their penis health, and understandably 5G Male Review  so - the penis is a very sensitive organ, and the manhood a very sensitive area. Ensuring proper penis care means regular washing, using a high-end penis health crème, and checking out the skin on a regular basis to ensure nothing looks different down there. So when a man sees warts on his penis, he will likely be quite concerned, puzzled - or even terribly frightened. That's why it is so important to understand what it means to have warts, where they come from, and what can be done about it.

Genital warts are one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases, with over 500,000 cases each year. It travels so easily from one person to another because the virus needs only simple skin-to-skin contact. That means that even if a man uses a condom, he might receive or transmit the infection through the touching of other body parts, such as the inner thigh or buttocks. Warts on the penis are caused by the human papilloma virus, also known as HPV. There are over 100 strains of HPV. Some people might have a virus that causes warts on the feet or hands. Those who have genital warts are usually infected by one of two strains: HPV 6 or HPV 11.

In most cases, these warts are flesh-colored, soft to the touch, and might look a bit like cauliflower. They are usually painless, but they might lead to an itchy penis. They might be here and there all over the penis, or might form one large cluster. They usually show up between six weeks and six months after infection.

A man who notices warts on his penis should immediately see the doctor. It is important to remember that though the warts might be unsightly or uncomfortable, they are usually not dangerous in and of themselves. It is possible that the warts, when irritated, could lead to open sores or bleeding, and that could lead to easier transmission of disease. The human body is very good at fighting off the HPV virus. However, some prescriptions can help lessen the look, feel and number of warts, and might encourage faster healing. Warts that don't go away on their own can be removed by freezing, burning or minor surgery.

For over 3000 years acupuncture has been used for treatment of pain in China. So with regards to Eastern medicine, it's obviously been ingrained in their culture definitively. When it comes to Western medicine though, over the past few decades acupuncture has been increasing in popularity. It definitely helps that the World Health Organization and the National Institutes of Health have acknowledged acupuncture's effectiveness for many pain conditions.

The theory behind acupuncture is based on meridians. Meridians are channels in the body that energy travels through and that energy is called Chi (or Qi). There are 12 meridians in the body which are broken down into groups known as Yin and Yang. There are three Yin and three Yang Meridian's in both the upper and lower extremities. There also meridians that have no designation and there are eight of those. It is when these meridian channels of energy get blocked that the flow of Qi can be disrupted and disease results. Acupuncture with the insertion of fine needles can restore this flow of energy and help cure disease. (Author's note - Acupuncture cannot cure cancer).

A Second Look at Suicide

We know that the brain has great adaptability, and by choosing a good diet,  Ageless Brain Review exercise regularly and opting for generally good lifestyle choices we can avoid many of the problems associated with old age. But in doing this we are pretty much on our own for maintaining the needed discipline. There is an entire industry promoting sugar and other processed foods, telling us that these dangerous toxic substances are actually good for us.

Robin Williams' suicide is the hype in the news. There are so many factors that we do not know why he committed suicide. It has made a great impact on me and many others because of his unique one of a kind talent for humor and the changing personas he could take on in front of a crowd or on film. He was a remarkable man and as we are the same age, I have seen him grow and always looked at anything about him.

Suicide is a serious topic and unfortunately in its early aftermath it can be contagious. Today I am reaching out to those of you who work with teenagers. I want to look at the psychology of violence toward the self in youth. I would like to look at some of the warnings of suicide. Finally, I would like to look at risk factors. We can never predict a suicide, but we can spot warning signs and be aware.

The person who is thinking of suicide is first, usually in psychological pain. There are common sources of emotional pain: loss or lack of love, loss of a sense of control and predictability, loss of a positive self-image, shame, humiliation, disgrace, and/ or a lack of affiliation. Secondly, there is constriction or an inability to see other options. This is coupled with thoughts of death. There is a lack of balance of positive emotions. Thirdly, is the lethality of the feeling. There is a genuine intention to die in order to stop the pain.
